@Madsox Thank you :)

The case being suited for all kinds of modifications was part of the idea. The base holds all cutouts and mounting points that are needed... the card can overhang or be triple slot (sky is the limit). The PSU can be a 250W GaN that fits nicely between card and board or be placed external to the base.

I thought of a wall mounted PC
...or just something flat that you can use as a shell and put the base in.

...

The current 3.93b (ul) and 3.93c I would sell you for 100€. No paint, no switch and no riser otherwise ready to be used.

When I order/plan a run anyone can raise a hand for anything extra. Just the base, just a cover, one extra cover or just the expansion...

Since you want to immediately mod it and only need the base a future run where I'll use steel might be better for you? It depends what you want it to do but the 3.93b (ul) doesn't hold any threads except for the 6 galvanized steel standoffs.

I would like to deploy the 500w GaN,I also would love the power Button (unless you’d prefer I ordered it later or elsewhere) so I don’t have to find a solution for it later.
I’m curious about the aluminium v. The steel. I would prefer whatever weighs the least.
just in case I wanted to know what you’re charging for the 5.93L, but beyond that if you think that the mounting for everything is strong enough I trust your opinion. I didn’t read into why the other person/people in the thread were worried about the resilience of the mounting points… thoughts?

P.s. I’m in the USA and would make the purchase of the straight away…

I would like to deploy the 500w GaN,

The 500W GaN doesn't fit into the smallest 3.93L configuration, and the 5.12L expansion isn't available currently. I consider doing a 5.29L expansion next, which would allow for this 4070 Ti Super.

I also would love the power Button (unless you’d prefer I ordered it later or elsewhere) so I don’t have to find a solution for it later.

It's a regular 12mm. There is no need for it to go from China to Germany and then to the US :)

I’m curious about the aluminium v. The steel. I would prefer whatever weighs the least.

The steel is ~990g and the aluminum is ~510g.

just in case I wanted to know what you’re charging for the 5.93L, but beyond that if you think that the mounting for everything is strong enough I trust your opinion.

Both are strong enough for all components, but I wouldn't hang 10kg onto the aluminum version.

I didn’t read into why the other person/people in the thread were worried about the resilience of the mounting points… thoughts?

I don't know what you mean, but the 3D prints carrying the (brass) heat set inserts in the aluminum version are compatible with the steel version and are a backup plan if anyone should break the steel threads.

P.s. I’m in the USA and would make the purchase of the straight away…

PM/DM me. Shipping to the US would cost me ~50€.

  • some want to fit the 4070 Ti Super Ventus 2X into their k3.93L
  • the physically identical 4070 Ti Ventus 2X came down in price a little
  • I have a irrational weak spot for fully enabled Die's

Here it is:

242 mm

and 2.5 slot

You can still get involved in the design phase of the expansion/cover, and I can imagine doing some cases in one part (5.29b) rather than 3.93b + 5.29e. If you don't already have a k3.93L this would be cheaper but less flexible (no downsizing from 5.29L).

hi! what about mod for 4070ti Ventus 2x 242*125*51mm?
Add a spacer...

Back then, I found the Ti too expansive for 12GB, and the 4070 had the option of a shorter Twin Edge Model.

Now, with the Super and Ti Super, the Ventus 2X has become more relevant since it's now the shortest 4070 Super, 4070 Ti and 4070 Ti Super.

Arriving early May.

It is the best base for a travel build ;)

The 3.93L config is 999g and the 5.12L config is ~1700g.

Hey Kon, kinda asking a question out of the blue, but i am moving soon so i might be interested in your case again. I do have a question regarding the quoted post, if i were to buy the new 5.29b model, it could act as a VESA mount for my main pc monitor ?

I shrugged it off a year ago but now it does make sense in a cramped space ....
ideally it would be the PC + VESA mount, i would get it in steel for that though i guess (and no extension, case in one poart as mentioned above)

Yes, you can see the concept pretty well in this short. I don't think I have any of these "L-brackets" left but it's a very simple part... either I'd make more or give you the CAD file.

Are you sure you're not shrugging of the expandability now? ;)

Nobody wanted a one part and so I didn't make any. All that I had made now is 10× 5.29c and 10× 5.12e... for myself and to have on hand for anyone who had already invested in a k3.93L.

Oh my, that mount is really solid ! I would indeed be interested in the k3.93l + one extension (easier to fin a gpu and i can more easily fit the hdplex 500w)

Not buying today though, my matx system will last a bit longer

It probably won't fit the Inno3D 4070 Ti Super or is there a few mm extra clearance? It's 2-slot thick only, but 250 mm long.

No,... and also the fin orientation is not ideal.

The Ventus 2X 70 Ti and 70 Ti Super better utilize the available space with 2.5 slots and have an ideal fin orientation for direct heat exhaust. Almost the entire hot air is being exhausted at front and back.

can I have a list of compatibility since I will build this PC from beginning??
What exactly do you want to know? I would assist you with the choice of components.

PSU wise it's one 250W GaN in 3.93L and from 5.12L-5.29L you can fit the bigger 500W GaN and add a 250W GaN to that for 750W. Or run two 250W for 500W.

CPU heatsink height is 44-45 mm on Intel and 42-43 mm on AMD CPU's... but:

Cards that I can recommend would be 4060 Solo for the 3.93L configuration, 4070 Twin Edge for 5.12L and 4070/Ti/Super Ventus 2X for 5.29L.

I'm taking a break from the k3.22L by making the k3.93L 9060 XT Reaper compatible.

First, a look back at the final 4070Ti build. I sold the card ... beautiful card and build, but I had to move on to more relevant components.
And also, I'm kind of an AMD fanboy.

And here is the 9060 XT Reaper inside the k3.93L ... running with the spare 500W GaN for now, but when I have everything, the goal is to run it with an LOP-300-12.

While I wish PowerColor or anyone else would have just put in a little more effort and made a <180mm single-fan model, it is the smallest available (16GB) 9060XT, and we should probably be grateful that it isn't any larger XD

Nice to see another AMD lover vs all the "Cruise Ship boat anchor lovers" who think Nvida needs more money added to their stock prices.
Don't you just love all those connectors meting with 50 amp draw...

I always preferred AMD, but the density situation has just gotten so ridiculously bad that I thought that there was just no way around NVIDIA. RX 6400 or 4060 in low-profile? 7600/6700XT... or 4070Ti Super?

Plus, I also was a little pissed at AMD/Partners for this and them always being stupid... and a little pissed at the consumers who just can't keep their hands off of NVIDIA despite AMD surprisingly catching up and being VERY competitive with RDNA2. (Witnessed how someone chose a 3070 over an equally priced 6800 XT... In another case, the son of a coworker wanted to save up a little more for the 3070 over a far cheaper 6700XT that I recommended).

Might as well get NVIDIA too XD (-> 4060 / 4070Ti).

Before that, my last NVIDIA was the Gainward GTX 560 Phantom. Long, long ago, but for the same reason. Density (Lian Li PC-Q07).

I was probably safe with the 4070 Ti because I used the provided adapter. Jup: 12VHPWR to dual 8-pin ... to single 8-pin with 7 pins occupied and 6 actually used if we disregard the one extra GND.

Who replaces 16 pins with 12 smaller pins so he can draw more power?!
