Would a case the size of a xbox one, accept a little deeper for GPUs work for a PC? A SFX PSI should work I think... It is about 13.1; x 10.8 x 3.1...

So I know you've been posting on a lot of different forums for a few years now, looking for a case that meets your needs, and so far you haven't found one. So here, this is a starting point I threw together in Sketchup based on what I've seen you describe:

It's got just enough room for a 10.5" GPU, a couple of 3.5" drives, a slim optical drive, and uses a flex ATX power supply. A case based on this layout could be about 13 x 13" x 4", which is a bit bigger than an Xbox One or PS4, but still within the same ballpark. How does this look to you?

That's a really nice layout! I wish there were more 3.5" HDD stacking brackets besides the $40 ones Logic Supply sells - you'd think brackets of that sort would be easy to come up with.

SSDs are great, but I really am looking for more SFF cases that support 1-2 3.5" drives, especially in the steam machine style - nothing beats $220 8tb drives.

Super nice of you to mock that up!

You might be interested to know that I'm actually working on a design with a layout quite similar to this, with support for up to three 3.5" drives. My version eschews optical support, however.

I think ODDs are outdated, personally - they've been relegated to the point of a $20 USB accessory that you can plug in when needed.

Interested to see your new design whenever it gets out of secret prototype phase :V
