Has anyone tinkered with Apple power supplies?

I've seen plenty of them being sold as parts on eBay, and other places that are known for selling used Macintosh systems and components. The PSUs in the more modern iMacs have enough power for a decent mid-range rig, and they also look the part (they're mostly black so they can go with almost anything). They will require some modding in order to work but I have no idea of how well they could work with PC builds. What do you think of these PSUs? Are there any modding projects that have used them?

I am actually doing a project on one at the moment (mac pro-2008) frankly, it was overly bulky with its own custom pinouts. I don't believe the wires are there to do everything you would want to with one. I ended up just gutting it and sticking another power supplies internals in, did reuse the plug though so it looks stock.

Well, that answers my question :) Nice to see some people got it working.

Are there any chances to find pinouts for this mod? Edit: never mind, I found a diagram. This should be helpful.
