There looks to be just enough space to place a slim fan (<15mm) behind the GPU. Does anybody have this setup? How tight is it?

I've played with it. You can use double sided tape to fix the fan on the inner surface of the side panel which is, in my opinion, the best way to do it. I'd personally recommend using the Cryorig XT140 (http://www.cryorig.com/xt140.php) and simply remove the anti vibration feet (or not as I think it fits either way).
I've looked through your builds and see you've discussed it but can't seem to find a picture of it. Any improvements on temperatures, did it move a decent amount of (warm) air? Push or pull?
