So, I was browsing newegg and came across this. Yes, we probably have all seen a barebones laptop before, no ram, no hard drive, no operating system.

What I noticed(or hadn't seen before) is this BYO laptop lets you use a desktop LGA 1151 cpu(MAX 7th Generation Intel® 65 Watt TDP)....meaning it doesn't come with a cpu either.

Its also right now at a very appealing price($449.99).

Wonder if they could sell a version without the GPU for cheaper. IDK about others, but I don't expect more than an iGPU in a laptop and even that's enough to have fun in Minecraft.

Adding onto that thought: Hey Eluktronics, care to make a version for AMD G series APUs? That'd be the lit shit.

I think the GPU might be soldered on, as the specs says the North Bridge : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

It is soldered on the board. But not a bad price, and it even has a decent cooling solution for such a cheap unit. I still wouldn't recommend an over 65W CPU. Seems like it will accept an AUO 120hz screen aswell if you are into gaming and whatnot.

A cheap i5 7500, 8 gigs of ddr4-sodimm and a m.2 drive and youd be gaming like a champ on that thing for very little money.
