Disable profile posts?

Any strong feelings one way or the other about profile posts?

I'm considering disabling them since it seems many times they accidentally get used in place of PMs and they don't really serve much purpose (IMO).

They have also been used for sneaky spam.

Away with that, nobody is using it and it just creates confusion anyway, as you said. If it means that your mods have less to do, that's just another benefit.

Yeah, it was taking up too much space on the front page after we added the Resources section and we probably should have just disabled it then.

So unless there's a vocal outcry against it's removal within the next 24 hours I'll disable it tomorrow.
