Moved my ITX system from NZXT Manta to Cerberus X.
While the Manta had great airflow, and lots of space, I never warmed up to it's curvy over sized shape.

System does not have powerful components but meets my needs for video editing & occasional gaming.
It's really a general purpose computer for kids and me to get work done.
Silence and good looks were given priority along with reusing as much as possible.

  • CPU i7 7700k stock with XSPC Raystorm PRO block
  • GPU MSI GTX 1060 6GB Gaming X with EKWB block
  • MB Asrock Z270 itx ac with blacked out heatsinks.
  • PS Corsair SF450
  • RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE 16GB 3000MHz
  • Monitor 2 x Dell P2418D 23.8" 16:9 IPS Monitor 2560 x 1440
  • HDD 2 x 4TB WD
  • NVME Samsung 960 EVO 500GB
  • SSD Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
  • Hardware Labs Nemesis 240 GTS XFLOW - Pull with ML120s driven by CPU
  • Magicool 120 G2 Ultra - Push/Pull with ML120s driven by GPU
  • Pump XSPC x4 photon 170 - with annoyingly big glass reservoir but very quiet.
  • Front Fan ML140

For the case I was considering new Raijintek Ophion Evo but my GPU is too tall and the HDDs & pump would not fit.
I settled on Cerberus X with discount from Optimum Tech. The elegant look, flexibility and top construction are positives.
The high price, plastic side and poor cable management are negatives.
All in all I'm happy with the case but it was challenging to make it look neat.

Water cooling GTX 1060 Gaming X is an exercise in narcissism but that's what PC enthusiasts do.
The GPU is too big with water block so I had to get the Cooler Master vertical holder.

Case modifications include moving one of the side bracket hinges down to hang the pump.
Also a few notches were cut here and there to fit 120 radiator on the back.
All air intakes are filtered and I have zero dust problems.

Performance wise it's what you would expect from i7 and GTX 1060 with over sized water cooling.
It's quiet under full load with GPU at 40C and CPU in mid 60s.

Super sexy. I assume that's 360mm of rad space?
360 total radiator indeed. I wanted window side panel to admire the insides. The window requires PSU on the front and limits radiator options. The thick 120 radiator in push/pull sticking out the back can probably dissipate heat equivalent to larger radiator.

This is honestly one of the most impressive things I've seen done in one of these. Love it!
