News ASUS B85M-VIEW PAKER

For me the most interesting motherboard shown at COMPUTEX 2015

Besides the 90 degree angle PCIe x16 socket at the top, am I seeing another PCIe x16 socket at the bottom? Looks like a mini-DTX size board to me.
Edit: A link added.
Edit: Here is the "Parts-In-One" display this board was made for:

It depends on where you live, I guess. Here in Belgium electricity is going to go up in price (again) next year, most households will be paying between € 1.500 and € 2.000 annually. So leaving a PC on 24/7 is quite expensive here.

we pay ~NZ$0.25 per kwh at the moment, used to be closer to 0.15 kwh.

So if a PC uses 60w at idle, 18 hrs a day (excl load times, high estimate for my current FX PC) you would be looking at NZ$100 (60 Euro) a year. That's an extra 5 euro a month for not having to wait for your system to boot, reduced load on the motors (hdd and fan motors spinning up when cold) and PSU wear and tear (caps charging and the like)

An update of this not so useful thread, just a few more right-angle PCIe equipped boards:

The box images may be just rendered ones but I still wonder if ASRock has a plan to release these as standalone consumer products.

Oh this would be very welcome, it would make console-style cases much easier to reach a higher volume efficiency.

Imagine a barebones enclosure with one of these and a low-profile CPU cooler (or even a PSU if you so wanted). At ~$250 per, it would be a very good deal, and would let you provide a console-sized enclosure that would accept completely standard parts.

Indeed, with both CPU and GPU cooling at the same side, SFX-L PSU in front of the motherboard, makes an easy-to-build Steambox, game PC or portable workstation.

I sure hope Silverstone doesn't leave this immense cornerstone of the market hanging out to dry, it would be a serious boost for SFF acceptance even more.

Maybe the ASrock board could get released as a commercial product. It's too deep and too wide for most ITX enclosures, but at least it will fit any mATX case and in some larger ITX cases, it might still fit because the additional width only manifests on the left side of the board where there's usually additional space.

Thinking about the possible implications of using such a board, your case design gets quite limited in some aspects, especially Z-position of the GPU. I think with both of these boards you'd probably be better off using a flexible riser and a standard mITX board.

Given the non-standard expansion card location, these boards pretty much demand a custom case solution, so I have my fears if/when any of these come out, they will be some sort of OEM only fare.

Still, I would like to get my hands on one, having the component side of the motherboard and video card being on the same side, and not having to use risers to get them parallel, have some nice advantages.

When I started this thread, and when I found those box images of the ASRock boards, I had hopes of these boards reaching the DIY consumer market like any other consumer mITX/mATX/ATX boards, but I have little now. Unless someone in China takes motherboards out of some AIO/PIO monitors and sell them on taobao or aliexpress, the only way to obtain any of these boards are just purchasing an AIO/PIO monitor from China.

Anyways just a little update with boards from vendors that haven't shown up in this thread:

MSI B150M ICAFE AIO
There is a 2280 M.2 slot, a mPCIe slot, and two PCIe slots.
The spec on the MSI site says 1xPCIe3.0x16 and 2xPCIe3.0x1 as well as 23.5x18cm but they probably copy-pasted the spec of a wrong product, e.g. B150M PRO-VD. According to Sunmilo@Chiphell who apparently snapped those photos of this board it's 205x205mm.
Sources: MSI, Chiphell (both in Chinese)

GIGABYTE GA-B85M-PIO-SI
Two PCIe slots.
Sources: Gigabyte, ZOL, SMZDM, SMZDM, ZOL, SMZDM, EXPreview, MT.SOHU, CFAN (all of these in Chinese), Tweaktown (in English)

GIGABYTE GA-B85M-PIO-H
Just one PCIe slot.
Source: Gigabyte (in Chinese)

GIGABYTE GA-B150M-PIO-SI
Two PCIe slots.
Source: Gigabyte (in Chinese)

GIGABYTE GA-B150M-PIO-H
No photo.
Just one PCIe slot.

COLORFUL NetBar B85M-AIO V20
Two PCIe slots, 192x197mm
Source: COLORFUL (in Chinese)
Looks like an identical layout with the SOYO board several posts above.

COLORFUL showed a B150 version of this @COMPUTEX2016 but now GTX950 on board. (Aibohphobia covered similar boards by them with GTX980 and GTX1070 on board instead in his article.)

Nice work! +1 sleuthing.
Most of those appear to forego m.2 in favour of mPCIe, but I can see some errant standoffs lurking on the GIGABYTE GA-B85M-PIO-H, so there may be an m.2 on the backside of the board.

It figures these boards aren't available to consumers, since there is no consumer-available case that fits these configurations either. Although the same can be said about certain PSU types though, a board is much more specific in use-case.

Yeah looks like there are M.2 screw mounts for just 2242 and 2260. Unlike most other vendors gigabyte.cn doesn't seem to have these boards officially listed so no way of confirming this until I stumble on a detailed assembly/disassembly review of a PIO monitor with B85M-PIO-H in it.

Great find! I'd be even happier if you could also spot any seller on Taobao or any marketplace who sell MSI B150M ICAFE AIO... so far I haven't successfully.
