The former in this case. The scalpers will always be an issue with scarcity. The miners in this case created this scarcity and then some which scalpers are exploiting wonderfully from.

Thing is though, I like to mine with the card I game with when I'm afk - which makes me a miner even if I'm not buying the cards. So like, not all miners are bad. Just my two-cents

Quite true. I should have clarified my stance. I am referring to the miners who are into it like I was: Using a computer purely for mining and not just mining on their computer when it is idle.
