Are GPU bracket mounting holes standardized?

Does every GPU have the rear bracket mounting holes in the same place? (Example of what I mean in the picture) If so as a follow-up has anyone used standoffs to mount a GPU directly to panel?

I may have partially answered my own question. Looks like they are included in the PCI specs here:



Hopefully this means manufacturers follow that. Still interested to hear if someone has used them to mount the card itself.

Sometimes you might get lucky but I've had plenty of bracket holes not lining up, not to mention the port situation. I wouldn't count on it.

That's a shame, I was thinking to leave the bracket off entirely for an open frame build and while I'm only intending this as a one off I'd like to be able to upgrade without problems in the future. Thanks for letting me know!
