Hi all,
Tinkering with using some server grade components to dive into water cooling on either my Dan A4 or plunging into the Velka 5. Inspired by @petricor amazing NFC 4090 build. If I stay below the 4090 and 7800x3d I figure I can make things slightly less complicated due to less power/heat (apart from my budget constrictions).
Now to my question:
On paper the Alphacool 120mm Industrial fan has about twice the static pressure of the acclaimed Noctua 120mm Industrial at 49 vs 43 dB. Has anyone used/compared the two?
best,
M

it rotates at 1000 rpm more compared to industrial noctua that is already far too loud for normal pc use.
I am not too concerned about noise levels for my use case and always have to make some trade-offs. Apart from noise, any other thoughts from your usage?

Didn't use alphacool, only noctua, but server fans are usually made to a higher standard so I wouldn't worry.
Maybe someone else can also chime in with hands on experience but it is a quite niche product.
