a new SFF challenged has arrived! introduction and postmortem?

Hello all!

I hope you are well! And you might want to take a seat, because you're about to witness something that's decidedly NOT well!

Not well at all!

Behold, my most recent disasterbuild, KLMT Junior ver 0.0!

Yes, that's right, it's an Fractal Design Era case, lying on its side and with one of its side covers off. For two reasons:
  1. there are two NF-A14 fans attached to the "bottom" of the case.
  2. that GPU is an MSI 2080 Super Sea Hawk X.
As I learnt, just because you can attach two 140mm fans to the bottom of the case doesn't mean you could… or should?
Also, it's the piping coming out from the GPU that's getting in the way of the side cover.

But wait, there's more!
  1. the CPU cooler is an NH-L12S.
  2. the CPU is an AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT.
  3. the motherboard is an Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3.
The CPU cooler is not compatible with the motherboard. Not unless you're only using one stick of RAM. I'm using two sticks of vanilla RAM, not heat sinks, and the heatpipes comes into contact with one of the sticks. You probably don't want to do this.

The NH-L12S CPU cooler is rated for 95 watts of TDP. The Ryzen 9 3900XT has a TDP of 105 watts. ? Again, you probably don't want to do this.

So, to sum it up, I'm looking forward to
  • more of learning from this community, and
  • less of learning from my mistakes
most of which could be avoided by the above
And if you've made it this far,
I hope you are still well!

Welcome to the forum ! I also like to do weird stuff just to see if it works. It's the more hardcore drug this forum can offer.
