I recently upgraded my 10 year old 1080p LCD TV to a 65" 4K TV, so it was also time to upgrade the HTPC as well.
Here is a brief journey:
My HTPC used to be a Pentium G4600 on a Gigabyte Z170 mITX mothboard. 16gb 3000 ram, 512gb SSD. I had originally housed everything in a DanCase A4 v1 with a GTX 1050 ti.

After several years of using the DanCase A4, but never used the graphics card in any capacity, I decided to sell the 1050ti. In doing so, I downsized the HTPC build to a Streaco F1C. I picked this case for its compactness.

Upgrading the TV gave me 4k, HDR, and HDMI 2.1 capability, and I wanted to try these out with some of my less utilized components. After looking at my stash of cases, I decided to go with the Node 202. Here are the new specs:
  • Intel i7 8700K
  • ID Cooling IS60 with Noctua A12x15 fan swap
  • Asus Strix Z370i
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb 3000
  • Samsung 512gb SSD
  • Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Founders Edition
  • Artic Accelero III with 2x Noctua A12x25 fan swap
  • Corsair SF600 Platinum
The Node 202 is placed horizontally with slightly taller rubber feet ordered online. The two A12x25 fans on the bottom are set to intake , while the A12x15 fan is set to exhaust. The system seem to be drawing air from the case bottom, and case side wall, and exhausting all through the CPU fan. So far so good: with regular use the CPU and GPU do not get over 50-60c. With gaming (Forza Horizon 4, 4k ultra settings), the GPU gets to about 70c.
I don't have any pictures yet, but I will post them when I get a chance.
