Production MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

When do you anticipate having an updated schedule for production? When do you expect to set a new date for delivery? You have made additional design changes since the Kickstarter - when will you confirm with the factory there are no production issues or challenges with those new changes?

The engineering diagram shows a total pump block height including mounting screws for backplate as being 52mm. The height above the CPU when mounted and tightened down might be less than 51mm. I'll hold out hope for a 'maybe' on this one. Sure looks like a neat pump design.

I think the change to magnetic side panels and a modular front cap will open up the possibility of many more customization options. Low TDP CPU? Switch to a smaller vent pattern. Need more airflow for cooling? Switch to an open front cap or one with a fan in front.

I added columns for radiator material and tube length. It looks like the Alphacool Eisbaer LT120 is the only AIO with a copper radiator available. Of course, there are copper 120mm radiators for custom loops, but I don't think there is much benefit building a custom loop with only a CPU block...

Many GPUs also include a USB-C port as well, which is especially useful for portable monitors.

The Captain 120EX radiator will fit, but the pump block will not (~85mm tall). Agreed! I made a Google Docs spreadsheet with the 120mm AIOs I could find: 120mm AIOs for Mjolnir Using the radiator dimensions of 157x120x34mm (assuming a 25mm thick fan and flipped PSU) and a max height for the...

    Prototype 3L18 - 5.8l Cube

Looks great so far. I think the cube shape can work well with the ITX form factor, and can offer some very interesting designs. Not clear from the photos how the case and inner core go together. Please keep us updated.

What is the height between the inside of the top rail and bottom rail (without LED strips)?

It depends on your case airflow. Sometimes it is better to supply the radiator with fresh air from outside the case. For example, Corsair states: "For best cooling performance, we recommend mounting the fan as an air intake to your PC case." If you have a GPU that is dumping hot air inside the...

The XSPC TX240 radiator is also 125mm wide - the case can fit radiators up to 120mm, so it won't fit. As far as I've found, the Silverstone is the ONLY 240mm radiator that would fit.

Really want to see how the TD02 with one fan compares with a thicker 120mm AIO & 15-20mm slim fan combo.

Hmm, website today says 51mm for air cooler. Still, the Scythe at 54mm would still be too tall.

I think Alex had the M22 in one of the early prototypes. See post # 869. He said the tubes were hard to work with. The M22 hasn't had the best reviews, but it did seem to fit. The 25mm fan would need good cable management skills.

Did Mods by Ben Q get a chance to take some awesome pics? Updates on the timeline to send to YouTubers for review? All good on the black screws and packaging? Anything else you are waiting on before sending the cases off for review?
