Thanks 1...1! The 240 mm Eisbaer will be place on the bottom after removal of the USB and "music" contacts. An extra 120 mm radiator+fan will be placed on a wall. All to arrive at a good cooling of the 7980XE.

Thanks! I am now concentrating on 240. Maybe 240 + 120 by using Alphacool Eisbaer.. This maybe possible using a small graphics card, viz. MSI Geforce GT1030 passive.

Sorry, the PSU should be Corsair SF600 SFX in order to fit the NCASE M1!

I just got the information that the pump of Alphacool Eisbaer was dimensioned to manage an added 120 mm radiator! So capacity-wise there should be no problem. I have ordered all components except the AsRock X299E-ITX/AC motherbord and the cooler. The mobo should appear in first half of October...

In addition, I will go for the Cruzair 650W V2 PSU aiming at approx. 4 GHz operating frequency.

B-l:I have looked at the Compatibility spreadsheet but for AsRock x299E-ITX/AC it is only white. Does that mean "impossible" or "not yet filled-in"? AK: When you recommend Arctic ...240, does it mean that it is possible to get in? I will probably use a Geforce 1030 graphics card with a cooling fan.

I intend/hope to run the 7980XE at 4GHz with all cores working during fairly long times (more or less 24/7?). Is there any cooler standing out for this type of workload?

I want as large a cooler as possible for my 7980XE. X62 should run more silent than a X52, shouldn't it?

Boil told me above that a 240 mm cooler could be used in NCASE. What about a NZXT Kraken X62 with 2x140 mm fans?

I read on the web that somebody had overclocked 7980XE with a NZXT Kraken X52 water cooling unit with no temperature problems (http://www.techradar.com/reviews/intel-core-i9-7980xe)! I guess this must be one of the best coolers on the market (maybe a silly question, but I am new in this area)...
