Discussion Cases with motherboard outputs oriented to top?

Have you looked at the XTIA? See https://www.xtia.com.cn/ I have had an air cooled xtia system on my desk for several months and think it is great.

Log Mini Itx Cooler not fitting!

The Z490I maybe a problem. I currently am using a ID-Cooling IS-47K on my ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac motherboard with a Intel i9-9900K. The IS-47K has a thin 15mm x 92mm fan mounted below the cooling fins pushing air up. Your memory should not be a problem as this cooler has a 36.5 mm memory...

Prebuilt BeeLink U57 Mini PC at 0.6L - full base unit with Win 10 bootable OOB

Hummm. I do not see the problem that you are documenting. My system is dual boot, however I only run Apple maxOS Catalina 10.15.6. And in Catalina when I run Prime95 torture test the 4 threads are at 100 duty cycle and the temps are running 79 to 81 C on both cores. This will run for hours...

Log [Optimum Tech] Unbeatable 16-core + RTX 3090 Ncase M1 Build!

Yes. Amazon has " Cablecc ATX 8Pin Female to 8pin Male 180 Degree AngledPower Adapter for Desktops Graphics Card " along with 6 pin versions. And in a pinch for space, you can remove the foam pad from the back and use a thin insulating tape. Neil

Advice Case making/modding using aluminium extrusions?

To get up the learning curve quickly, I suggest that you purchase a GEEEK A31 V2 MINI-ITX case in that it is very inexpensive and would give you all of the case parts for one system. With your hands on the parts and if you assemble the system you will quickly see what is what. You could mod...

    Qucik change out M.2 device

Reference the photo of my WD_BLACK SN750, a high performance 500 GB NVMe SSD. This version comes with the heat sink shown. I needed this device to be relocated to where I can change it out without a lot of work. So I made up a mounting plate and used a M.2 M-key cable adapter by Sintech...

Prebuilt BeeLink U57 Mini PC at 0.6L - full base unit with Win 10 bootable OOB

This is the system driving a Dell 24” display at 1920x1200 and in the background it is playing a video on the Samsung 55” HDTV. Audio over HDMI works as does Audio to the local 3.5mm jack. I saw the BeeLink U57 mini-computer on Amazon and was amazed at the feature set for the price. I...

Hey your custom cables are great. I almost always build custom cables for my hacks and know that it takes attention to detail to get it correct. Good build and good documentation. I have enjoyed your thread. Neil

Concept Introducing the carbon 1. World’s most configurable itx chassis.

Okay! I was not aware that there was such an array of clamps and other bits for 15mm rod which was revealed by an Amazon search. And the prices are fairly reasonable. The design of the corner pieces needs to be proved and modded if needed. You have my attention. neil

Concept Introducing the carbon 1. World’s most configurable itx chassis.

Alloy Craft I find your carbon 1 concept interesting and have several thoughts and questions. The stringers for example; are they carbon fiber tubes or are they solid rods? What is the diameter of the stringer material? User selected components mounted to the stringers with two clamping...

Looking for a quality Push Button Switch

Humm... well check out Adafruit here https://www.adafruit.com/?q=16mm%20momentary%20pushbutton&p=1 I have used the 16mm ones and even modded one to have a blue power LED and a white flashing LED for drive activity. However in the last few years I fabricate my "Sliding Light Pipe with power...

Fixing Airflow in the SKTC A02 (Advise needed from CNC/Lasercut experts)

Well I would start with fairly large rectangular holes. Run some stress tests. Adjust hole size and shape to get the thermals that you want. These are prototypes so do not worry about appearance. You can close up holes with tape and cardboard if needed. Yes I would start with 70mm round...
