Stalled Winter One -- 15.6L SFF case, 3090 Support, 3-slot GPUs, dual 280mm radiators, CFD Optimized Design

Yes. The solid side panels had noticeably worse performance. Because the FE cooler vents to the sides, the intake fans were forcing hot air back into the GPU intake. This led to an interesting phenomenon where running the case fans at slower speeds actually improved temperatures because the...

Stalled Winter One -- 15.6L SFF case, 3090 Support, 3-slot GPUs, dual 280mm radiators, CFD Optimized Design

Unfortunately couldn't get my review out before the KickStarter ended due to getting caught up in a stressful move, but wanted to give my thoughts on the case. Functionality: My final build in in my beta case was fully air-cooled with a R7 3700X, cooled by a Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition, and...

All exhaust (with GPU/CPU as intakes) works very well for air cooling if you use the perforated side panels.

I have a full air cooled build. This is the coolest and quietest my RTX 2080 Ti FE has ever been in any case.

Will silver be offered in the Kickstarter as a basic option or only a stretch goal?

Love the new slide-out build process and super clean exterior. Great work! Now to decide which one to get...

Completed Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

New renders look wonderful. Great job, this is coming together really nicely.

Ah I see, yeah, it would have to be top/bottom or corners then to look good on both sides. Maybe something aligned with the cutouts? Don’t really have any useful ideas here, I just feel that adding a bit of style would go great with the asymmetric modern look of the case.

These latest renders are goddamn gorgeous. The cutouts in the wood, the front vent pattern, the non-obvious power button, complete lack of screws - awesome. Is there going to be a stylized vent pattern for the side panel also?

Willing to pay high end keyboard prices for a high end case to match, $500ish. A perfectly designed case with Apple-quality anodization, complex CNC manufacturing, no exposed screws, silence and cooling optimization, etc. would be worth $1K+ to me.

Completed Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

Love the front vent pattern on the new design. Reminds me of the Era ITX vent pattern only this case is actually functional. Still like the wood overhang better but it’s better to have a case that can actually be manufactured. :) Magnets would be good. This doesn’t feel like the type of case...

Completed Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

Understood on the manufacturing concerns. I imagine the case would have to be much more expensive to make up for all the parts that end up being milled not to spec. In my opinion, the organic nature of wood is highlighted by rounded corners, sloped edges, etc. With typical metal box cases we...

Completed Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

Tbh I liked the earlier iteration better, the new version just looks like a box with a wooden top. The old version had more flair (classy industrial design flair, not RGB gamer vomit flair).

This looks fantastic! Very pleased to see wood being used in the case, I think all 3 of the prototypes are great color combos. Was going to ask if anodization was possible but I’m guessing with the switch to steel that it has to be powder coated? Some thoughts on size + cooler compatibility if...
