@alles_alles I do not know how you do write with them, but please use some translation tools. My English is neither the best, but it's unter 30 secs to check your posting against DeepL or similar service. Sometimes it's really hard to read / understand. Please, see it as a hint for an...

@Hammerfest while I fully agree with you to bash AsRock for proper support, do you use this site: https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp to do so? Here is what I've found from here: public class RenoirMobile : RyzenSmu { RenoirMobile() { PM0 = new...

Sorry guys, don't want to spam. Sometimes I simply have this moments... 1. Does anyone know where these codenames come from (PE32: "SecSMIFlash") - Taishan - Sandstone - Huashan - Shasta found an answer: - chipset updates cover (Tiashan,Sandstone,Promontory,Huashan) -- those are chipset...

@ramalhais Thank you for your hint's - I way able to spot in the "FlashDriverSmm" used Flash I2C devices & vendors (@Danlopez1222) was searching it too. Like e.g.: Fudan FM25W ATMEL 26DF041 etc... (and yes, it makes perfect sense there are couple of IC's to choose from, even manufacturers...

Very welcome notice! We should look into that! Followup on Dxe Driver: from here Check this out! at this paragraph. Will try it later on, extract the Dxe / Smm sections and open them up in Ghidra. I have some embedded XP, so I may see somewhere in the code usage of the I2C interface, which...

@ramalhais good guessing. I think so too. Additionally, we have a problem: we don't know where in the AGESA/PSP architecture or any submodule of it the 'frash_write_enable' variable is stored. That's why a patch (additionally I guess would also need to patch the checksum at least - if not more)...

You mean by writing to the EEPROM of the BIOS chip. But then there is a question: Can you just write the ROM to it, or has any pre-processing to be done, to e.g. "grab" the ROM at the correct offset, since the BIOS file is consisting of "modules" than just simple bare .hex, you know what I mean...

If I'm using Renoir, and 3.60R or 3.60S, it does not matter, if I increase using 3.60R the SOC VID to 1.12500 (as I first tried), it stayed in HWINO32 (ver. 7.00) below 1.0V - that's why I saw no reason to plump any numbers in the field, since SOC VID is not changing anyhow. Please, show me a...

Very interesting news, what wonders me now is question whether any Cezanne-based APUs are announced or about to come?

Nope, unfortunately. It's BIOS-level. You can enable 'Hibernate' or "Ruhezustand" in German. :) There is no classic 'Stand-By' for us anymore. Check earlier post on that topic: https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/sffn-asrocks-deskmini-a300-finally.10553/page-90 (post #1783)

Oh boi, glad you were able to figure it out! - Now I understand why you're asking! It's kinda shame the retailer did not think well about that "trivial" part. I know also those blue packages, but the black underneath should "fill out" the bottom. And it's suitable for Intel Socket 775+ CPU's...

It is a Tray version. The box appearance may vary, but yes, it was in a box :) Unlike a "boxed" version which includes the fan. Mine was without a fan. To be more special it was like a slot with two sides where the Ryzen was clipped in between and additional 5 more sockets for a CPU available...

Well, we know on 3.60S it's removed even for Raven Ridge... Therefore it makes sense, that members are reporting good o/c value of renoir. But this is based on CPU, not the features of the Mainboard. I highly doubt 3.60S would put it back. Stability-wise it's already worth an upgrade! Now have...

So, on 4650G arrived today. It managed to boot in Windows on DDR4-3400 frequency - was aboutto run a benchmark, but it crashed, maybe some voltage will help. I did not adjust voltage. Now XMP Profile test. If all runs well, then bump a bit voltage and go for 3400. I did already see in CPU-Z...

Will definitely do. I'm kinda both curious and excited. Will be doing it using 3.60R-Version. Will roll back to JEDEC 2400MHz, all stock. Then apply XMP test. If it works @3200 flawlessly without increasing SOC VID - chances are good to go for 3333MHz or 3400MHz. Well, can't decide what's...
