I think $450 is high even for an Impact board. I would have thought $100 - $150 less would be more reasonable.
Outlet PC here in Vegas said they won't have their shipment in for a couple of weeks. They said the bigger retailers, like Amazon, Newegg, and Micro Center get theirs first. Newegg and Amazon should have stock by Monday.
Outlet PC has the Strix listed @ $300 though the picture is wrong.
Game PC has it listed for $300 as well. Both locations are out of stock at the moment.
Based on those figures, it looks like the Crosshair Impact will be about $350 +.

The Intel mounting looks more like a problem than a solution. Instead of using a supplied cooler, I now have to buy one to use this board. Not cool. 😕

MFRP is $400! They are just selling it for $300! Hopefully the Biostar offering is as good and cheaper than ASROCK, ASUS, and Gigabyte boards. Might force prices down a little. Otherwise there is always the EPYC Mini-ITX server option. At least then there is a legit reason for the price.
