News PREBUILT: Zotac Launches 8.3L Magnus One Microtower

Nice attempt to compete new Extreme NUC format. I hope someday Zotac will launch a cheap barebone for enthusiasts like Asrock A/X300.

Log Case for 2x 3.5" NAS

I have a Synology LAS - a single bay DS118, 2.6L volume, 9W power consumption. Very very good model. If you build one yourself - keep in mind, it will be larger, will take more time to configure, and consumer more power. But of course it is always more interesting to build something yourself, I...

Discussion Do I need Thunderbolt to have the ability to do Video and Power to a portable monitor with just one cable?

USB-C is just a format. It should have a "Display Port over USB-C" feature to be able to pass video signal to a monitor. If this is a mobo output with APU - check motherboard specification. If this is a GPU USB-C output - it has it for sure.

Cooling 120 AIO choice for a custom 12L matx case

I want to sum it up. 120 AIO have insufficient performance and mediocre noise. Their main advantage - is the radiator, which you can relocate somewhere away. For now, I choose Mugen 5 Rev.b, which is asymmetric with good offset and 155m height.

Cooling 120 AIO choice for a custom 12L matx case

Hi mates! I currently make schematics for a custom 12L case and need an advice about 120/140 AIO. I indeed need AIO, because I don’t have much space right in front of CPU. I know, a 120mm AIO has an average performance, and better to have 240 or 280, but only 120/140 fits. I’ve made the...

Log Best sffpc motherboard: X570i vs. B550i and which brand?

B550 is a good chipset, and even if Ryzen 5000 was not supported initially, it should be now. You should be able to download and install BIOS update from USB without loading OS. Now it also supports PCIe 4.0, but less lanes than X570. I don't think it is important for ITX. I would go with Asus...

Log Custom Jonsbo C2 with acrylic panels

Today I checked, how temperature changes, when I switch off side and top fans completely: - CPU idle 60c -> 72c (Ryzen 9 3900 OC with PBO) - GPU idle 37c -> 42c - SSD idle 48c -> 58c By idle I mean running Chrome browser with background music. And backwards

Ok so after assembling stock chasis and running benchmarks, I realized It was going really hot. 65w CPU under L12S behaved not bad, but first - it was impossible to overclock it (and turn it into 3900x) and second - it heated all aliminium panels, so it you can lay hands on it to feel yourself...
