awesome, I have a couple of the phanteks r220’s kicking around from an old build, maybe I can use one of those instead of the ghetto alphacool Eisstation I have in there now.
that is if I don’t scrap everything and put my build in a new case, torn between keeping the loop or using that icegiant...
This is the whole reason I'm interested in this case, IceGiant is scheduled to ship in June and I'd really like to use this case + IceGiant for my 3950x build. Let's hope the IceGiant will fit this case.
I think i'll flip my rad sometime soon, I was hesitant to drill holes in the case but it looks like you didn't have to cut much. I didn't measure the bylski brand rads but it looks like they fit. I am using the same fans you're using, not super impressed with them.
Yeah it’s super annoying. At legend rank it’s constant groups of Chinese player who are either lagging so hard they’re teleporting across the map or are outright aimbotting and dome you with revoker the exact frame your head appears around the corner.
I'm not following you. My rad is mounted as intake, the fans pull air from outside through the rad into the case. The fans I'm using (EK Vardar 140mm EVO) perform slightly better in pull according to the manufacturer. I'm thinking about running the rad as an exhaust and seeing how it performs.
The graphics card isn’t a big problem, the main issue is the width from the case wall to the power supply. You really only have about 70mm of space there. Most graphics cards aren’t that long with a water block on them. Maybe the custom pcb cards are but I’m just using a reference pcb.
So in my setup, I have about 160mm of length, 70mm of width, and 130mm of height to put a pump and res in. Width is obviously the most limiting factor. The D5 pump is about 30mm long, and the pump top is 70mm in length and width, and 49mm in height. Combine that with an 80mm Res and youre...
No issues closing the case, had to shorten the tubing run from res to cpu from what is shown in the pictures but all panels line up flush with no bulges. The top panel does not close all the way as the 420mm rad is too tall to allow the power cable to fit through the passthrough. I have not...
Build complete. For the time being. Need to go back and fix a few things that are annoying me.
Gigabyte I WiFi x5
32GB GSkill cl14 3200mhz
1TB Samsung 970 Pro
1TB Sabrent Rocket
1TB Mushkin Reactor SSD
Ek Velocity Nickel AM4 block
I’m getting an error everytime I try to embed images so just follow the links for now
There’s about 20mm of space for cables to pass through. The Corsair 420mm is the only 420mm rad that will fit, all the other brands are either too wide or longer...
