Always been a bit baffled by RGB hate... the rainbow monstrosities out there sure, horrendous, but the tech allows you to colour match with any other component/colours in your build, allowing for very tasetful and stylish results if done correctly.

I guess we'll have to wait on reviews to see how these perform... toss up between this and SF600 Platinum for me, but the noise level on the Gold is what puts me of that one slightly. EVGA may be just the same though.

Yes, it is quite peculiar, and I have wondered, in spite of the variation of an individual's sensitivity to sound, how some people have resorted to voiding their warranty by replacing the fan, yet other people say they love how quiet it is! This really doesn't make a great deal of sense to me...

Do we know ANYTHING about the EVGA SFX line-up yet? I wonder why I'm even considering the Platinum sometimes, as the biggest gripe against the Gold is the noise, and that's one thing I simply cannot abide... and I've got no real indication the Platinum is going to significantly improve upon...

Would that include an OC on a 2080? It may be hard for you to comment on that though, given we won't really know more on power draw above stock on the 2080 until reviews are released.

All these delays aren't encouraging, especially with lack of comment from Corsair as to what's going on.

I do understand where you're coming from, but I've seen countless examples of it done, and don't recall any subsequent reports of system/component failures because they didn't use a powerful enough PSU. Not that this proves anything of course, but I would imagine I'd have come across examples...
