Shirts, Logos, Domains, Referrals… and what’s been hiding in the minutiae, until now

Today is a pretty big day for us – for James (@Aibohphobia), John (@confusis) and I, for SFF Network and SFF Forum… This moment has been one that I personally have been looking forward to for a good while. So let’s get to it. 1. You asked, and we delivered… SFF Forum swag is now available for a limited time! It’s been requested before, it’s been suggested in our last request for comment, and it’s now live: we’ve just launched a two-week campaign on Teespring where anyone and everyone can purchase stickers, coffee mugs, t-shirts, and hoodies. We’ve gone with reasonable, no-nonsense pricing for …

We’re at CES! (And a quick-but-important forum update)

We’re incredibly excited to be able to share not one, but two exciting updates with our readers of SFF Network, as well as our community at SFF Forum. First: although listeners to our podcast (Low Volume) will have already heard of this news, SFF Network will be on the show floor at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, with our newest writer Drew Duncan scouring the conference for announcements and news that’s specifically pertinent to SFF. With press credentials and camera in hand, this is a fantastic development and opportunity for us, as we’ve previously only been able to rely on second-hand reports …

Podcasts!

In this day and age, with the many, many types of media available for consumption, we have been producing content in two forms – written articles and audio only podcasts. Admittedly, the podcast side of things has been difficult to keep up with, with various factors negatively affecting the regularity with which we post episodes. [mks_separator style=”blank” height=”2″] Today I’m introducing; LowVolu.me 2.0 – A New Beginning! [mks_separator style=”blank” height=”2″] In all seriousness, we’re making some changes to the podcast format, and I’m excited to update you on these. Firstly though, some things will stay the same, namely; Joshua, James and …

SFF Network Celebrates Our First Birthday!

Hey all, A little over a year ago, a stranger with a funny accent approached James and I… No, wait, that doesn’t sound quite right. Just over 26 fortnights ago, a foreign national emailed us about a unique business opportunity… Bleh, I’m never any good at these fuzzy-feely things. Anyhow, it really was a year ago – give or take – that James and I, as fresh-faced moderators of a little place called SFF Forum, were first approached by John with the idea of building a companion news site dedicated to SFF. John had shared our frustration over the fact that …

Introducing Low Volume, a podcast all about SFF

Readers, I’m pleased to be able to announce the beginning of Low Volume, a podcast by myself, James, and John! Listeners who download our program on iTunes (once it’s live there) will uncover the following podcast description, which we think does a pretty good job of capturing what we’re looking to achieve with the show: An occasional podcast by the co-founders of SFF Forum and SFF Network, Low Volume is a technology show focused on small form factor systems and the trend of miniaturization and ubiquity in the realm of consumer electronics. Discussions range from the newsworthy and interesting, to the humorous and …
