CORSAIR Launches New, Smol, Gen 4 NVMe SSDs

In Brief: CORSAIR has launched a pair of new PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSDs, with one in particular piquing my interest – the MP600 MINI. Both drives are PCIe Gen4 based, with the larger 2280 form factor MP600 CORE XT coming in at 1, 2 and 4TB capacities, and the smaller MP600 MINI, in the 2230 form factor coming in with a lone 1TB capacity. Zotac Launches 10th Anniversary Products

10 years is a big number – not many companies, let alone tech companies, make it that far. ZOTAC is celebrating this birthday, however, and has launched a small range of products. PCIe 4.0: 300W of slot power (or not) and double the bandwidth!

August 25 Update: Tom’s Hardware was told incorrectly and they’ve updated their article. The maximum slot power will continue to be 75W as it is currently with PCIe 3.0 but the total allowed power could maybe increase. The extra wattage will still come from PCIe power connectors on the card like it is today. Zotac Launches PCIe SSD

CES 2016: ZOTAC unveiled its upcoming premium PCIe SSD. Designed for high performance, with sequential transfer rates around 2 GB/s, the drive is based on a Phison processor, combined with Toshiba 10 nm MLC NAND flash memory. The half-height add-on card features an integrated heatspreader, with a back-plate. The PCIe x4 Gen 3 card is bootable.   Thoughts? Discuss them in the forum.
