Corsair Adding Wood Options to Cases

Corsair is starting to take pre-orders on wood panels for their decidedly not SFF but still quite popular 5000D series of cases. The design comes in three veneers; Bamboo, Sapele, and Teak. For those that don’t know, a veneer is a thin layer of decorative material attached to another material usually used to bulk up the item. I bring this up because Corsair is asking $74.99 for these panels that cover just the top and front. While I admit it looks good, $75 is a hard ask for two veneer panels. I would expect true hard wood for that money.

So why post this?

I expect this may be offered as an option for their SFF-ish 2000D case as well as future designs, so it’s good to be in the know now.
