SFF.Network SilverStone's new Argon AR11 49mm LP cooler

Rounding out our coverage of SilverStone’s booth from Computex 2017 is a new addition to the Argon series of CPU coolers, the Argon AR11 low-profile heatsink.

The heatsink is about 94mm x 97.5mm (including the tips of the heatpipes) in width, but the height measures in at exactly 49mm excluding the tops of the fan mounting screws.

In doing that you will also lose about 40% of your peak airflow.

I'm guessing (and hope for their sake) the stock fan will be quiet under normal loads anyway and that headroom is only there for people pushing higher OCs or tighter builds. I guess we'll see when someone gets their hands on it and does a proper comparison.

Going off weight alone it's losing already vs the C7 and L9i assuming you're getting more material for the weight increase.

Enostech review: SilverStone Argon Series AR11 Low Profile HDC CPU Cooler
At 3.6GHz the SilverStone AR11 and Noctua L9x65 were neck to neck with a marginal difference. The Noctua’s cooler was leading with a marginal difference of 0.3°C. This is definitely a good result for the SilverStone AR11.
At 4.3GHz, the SilverStone AR11 and Noctua L9x65 were again neck to neck with surprisingly same 0.3°C difference. The SilverStone AR11 was leading over the AR06 with a margin of 1.76°C.

You missed the important part:
We could not measure the actual noise output of the cooler due to the room’s ceiling fan and 8 fans inside the Evolv ATX chassis. But based on our experience in testing the coolers and the fans, it is clear that this good thermal performance has come at the cost of a high sound level. If you are noise conscious person then you may find this cooler not convenient at full speed. Out of all the four coolers that we have tested, the AR11 was the loudest of all.

It's no use comparing it to different coolers if the noise is not accurately measured, since most people with SFF PCs tend to have them on a desk.
