Power Supply SFX PSU - Silverstone Ratings

Hello everyone

I am in the process of selecting a PSU unit for my upcoming build using the Lian Li PC-05 case.

Going for a 600w plus unit, however with Silverstone units seem to have poor ratings on amazon. Is there something generally wrong with this manufacturer, something I should be made aware of?

SilverStone in general is considered (from my perspective anyway) to be pretty good - certainly from a reliability and quality perspective, I wouldn't be worried, they just aren't a Seasonic or anything.

I'd imagine that most of the poor ratings have to do with noise. SilverStone went with a cheaper fan that's not terribly silent, and paired it with a curious fan controller that behaves inconsistently and is known for making annoying noises. You can remedy that by replacing the fan yourself, but that will void your warranty.

SFX-L Silverstone Strider 700w is now in stock with Scan Computers, I just ordered mine.

I may consider replacing the fan depending on noise levels.
