Just ones with threads yeah :)
Yep threads are a bit weaker than on the N-ATX and that is why new batches have these panels made out of steel so there shouldn't be any issues. Although I never had such issues with multiple disassembles tbh but maybe you are just a bit more heavy handed than me :)
Wonderful! For thread, steel is so much more resilient than aluminium! And aluminium is better for panel..:) Curiously it is the same combo as the Cerberus-X..:D

Do you consider using helicoil? This should prevent stripped threads & would still allow you to use aluminum panels, which is lighter.

I have also considered PEM inserts, but they are labor intensive and I didn't want to bump up the price of the case for no tangible gain. Steel panels are the easiest solution and the case is still light enough for shipping :)

SFFTIME U-ITX : Is it Fixed ? (21th June 2025)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to flawless support from @riba2233 I fixed all the panels with broken threads!

Newer panels are made in steel and the improvement of robustness is immediate to feel and very much welcome! Thanks for this upgrade @riba2233 !

During the GPU assembly process I fumbled on the 2 pins power cable. I should have kept unplugged till the GPU was not secured. Anyway I’ll have time to fix it.

Indeed my BD790i seems damaged and it keeps rebooting while there is a 2-3min GPU load. It could also happen during idle load. It appeared when I tested my RTX 5090 FE inside the FormD T1. I tried many things, switching PSU, checking all the connectors, reverting some Nvidia Drivers…still the same behaviour, like overheating.

That’s already my 3rd dead mini ITX MB…pretty fragile form factor..:)

Thus here is the U-ITX dominating my almighty Cerberus-X!

Of course, it is only an AU REVOIR not a definitive farewell..:)
