SFF.Network [SFF Network] ASUS GTX 950 with no power plugs

PC Perspective has a news post on a recently announced variant of the GTX 950 video card, the GTX950-2G. What makes this version special is what it doesn't have, any power connectors! The standard GTX 950 cards have a single 6-pin PCIe power connector since they draw around 90-100W under load, which is a bit too much for the 75W that the PCIe slot is specced for but this new model is only rated for 75W of power.

+1 - I think a lot of HTPC owners have been asking for a LP card with support for HDMI 2.0

Are these the new GTX 950 SE models with less CUDA Cores? I think they are intended to replace the 750Ti.

I agree that a low profile version would be great, with HDMI 2.0. That is what the HTPC market needs!

Edit:
Just checked the specs which have the same amount of cores and clock speeds as standard 950s. Not sure how they have managed to halve the power draw then.

I guess drop the clock speed alot, the GTX 965M is about the same powerdraw but same number of cores as desktop GTX 960.

According to the Asus product page it has roughly the same clock speeds as standard GTX 950 cards.

But maybe it's a mistake and it is in fact the new GTX 950SE:

According to their product listing, ASUS does have a smaller version of the newer 75W variant that looks 99% like the original GTX 950 mini. Same no. of Cuda cores and memory clock, though something interesting about the 75W version is that it has a separate OC mode that shows a higher boost clock than the original 950.
