genuine question: for gaming, do you ever need more than 16gb, especially in a laptop?

No but that’s not the point. There are probably more content gamers with i3s, 8gb ram and 1050s than there are with i7s, 32gb ram and sli titans. But some people crave more uummpphh, claiming such things as future proofing, bragging rights, general epeen, and maybe an occasional, actual special use. Also some peeps just like to see technology keep accelerating.

don't forget chrome ,_,

(I haven't made projects that are heavy enough to squat all the RAM, but I've definitey seen a gradual climb for the biggest ones I've done so far, so yeah I'd justify my 32GB system ,_,)
