After completing my initial posting, I was troubled by the extremely long processing time taken by the 5700G CPU / A2000 GPU processing combination. I redid the tests of both systems, and also added two additional configurations using the Sliger S610 and 5700G CPU with a ITX length 3060 GPU, and also ran the 5700G APU using only its integrated graphics. Run times for the A2000 GPU were run three times to ensure more accurate time measurements. I put the mis-measurement down to my user error with limited usage of the new to me DXO software.

My original purpose for building SFF PC’s was for faster photo processing than my weak laptop could accomplish. With new camera and upgraded software I decided to finally compare the photo processing speeds of my most powerful SFF system against a low power draw SFF system and to determine the speed advantage of the more powerful system.

I had identical folders of 77 RAW OM-1 images of about 20MB each - installed both computers running identical photo processing software – DXO PhotoLab 6.
Applied adjustments were:
Standard DXO Correction (including lens)
Smart Lighting
Clear View Plus
Deep Prime XD Noise Reduction – know for being quite processor intensive.
With all these corrections the highest quality JPEG’s produced each ranged in size from 28MB to 35MB.

High Wattage System:
Sliger S620
Ryzen 9 5950X – draws about 150 watts
Thermalright Silver Soul 135 CPU Cooler
Aorus B550 Motherboard
64GB 3600 RAM
Samsung 980 Pro – ITB
EVGA RTX 3060Ti GPU 8GB Memory – draws about 200 watts
Time to complete 77 Large best quality JPEG’s:
2 minutes 43 seconds first run,
2 minutes 35 seconds second run

Low Wattage System:
Sliger S610
Ryzen 7 5700G – draws about 75 watts
Thermalright SI-100 CPU Cooler
Aorus B550 Motherboard
32GB 3200 RAM
Samsung 970 Evo+ – ITB
RTX A2000 GPU 6GB Memory – draws about 75 watts
Time to complete 77 Large best quality JPEG’s:
3 minutes 31 seconds first run,
3 minutes 25 seconds second run,
3 minutes 19 seconds third run

Mid Wattage System:
Sliger S610
Ryzen 7 5700G – draws about 75 watts
Thermalright SI-100 CPU Cooler
Aorus B550 Motherboard
32GB 3200 RAM
Samsung 970 Evo+ – ITB
RTX 3060 GPU 12GB Memory – draws about 150 watts
Time to complete 77 Large best quality JPEG’s:
3 minutes 42 seconds

Integrated Graphics System:
Sliger S610
Ryzen 7 5700G – draws about 75 watts
Thermalright SI-100 CPU Cooler
Aorus B550 Motherboard
32GB 3200 RAM
Samsung 970 Evo+ – ITB
Integrated Graphics - No GPU
Time to complete 77 Large best quality JPEG’s:
