I have been looking for a solution to (safely) run a GPU on a second PSU with the first PSU powering the MOBO, fans, WC pump, and CPU. I plan to use an Enhance 7660b 600w to power an RTX 4090 and HDPLEX 250w GaN to power everything else.
In order to safely do a dual PSU setup I understand it's wise to keep any power to a particular component coming from a single PSU.
I would like a PCIE4.0x16 riser cable that has a separate +12v input so both the 4+4 PCIE ATX power cables and the +12v power from the PCIE riser cable are coming from the same PSU.
I have looked around the forum posts here and know this problem has been discussed before but haven't been able to find a solution.
This looks promising but it doesn't look like it ever went into production.
I'd greatly appreciate some input and if somebody has found a reliable solution to this if they could share it.
