Hi,
Is NH D15 on Asrock B450I mitx motherboard compatible with HDPLEX 200w dc atx?
Or will cooler cover up above the 24 pin motherboard header?

The pic below shows a NH-D15S on Asrock B450I itx mobo. The heatsink itself will not be on top of the 24-pin power connector but the front fan will.
So, if there is space above, you can move the front fan higher up to make room below for the HDPLEX 200W DC-ATX converter.

Sounds like an APU cube with the best air cooling available. Had a mind to try that out a while back, but didn't because of lack of time.

When my air cooler went over the 24 pin socket, I just made a stubby pigtail (about 2" long) 24 pin extension and mounted the HDPlex forward an inch or so from the slot.

What is the use case? I’m so curious.
I’ve got a custom mod sl1 stl case incoming, so I thought I’ll fit a b450i + Nh D15 + 4350g + hdplex 200, with the top portion of the case removed.
I shall plan on upgrading to a 10600k + itx mobo + d15 + hdplex 200 (or a 300w+ equivalent plugin DC atx )
I am looking for the smallest possible system without dgpu (I don’t game) but the most powerful cpu to run simulation tools easily. I really like 5950x, but sadly it doesn’t have igpu, so I am simply waiting for a 10+ core cpu with igpu.

i just ordered the custom_mod slm1 (aluminium) last week too. I also got the hdplex 200. I haven't setteled on a mobo/cpu yet ... I am hesitating between an APU setup or CPU plus cheaper GPU. Also not sure whether I should go Z590, X570 or B550...I would like a thunderbolt, but at the end that 200w PSU and teh cooling could be the limiting factor...

Where are you finding a 300w dc-atx that fits the custom_mod slm1?

I settled for hdplex 200, as Gury Hwa from Gurymods couldn't ship his 12V DC ATX to my country. 12V DC ATX can go beyond 300W. You may search sff forums for 12V DC ATX kits.

You don't need a Pico/DC-ATX to supply 300W, anything around 150W will be more than adequate, assuming your AC-DC adapter puts out 12V (at acceptable levels), the EPS and PCIe 12V lines can be supplied directly by the AC-DC adapter.
