Nice to see the LP formfactor is still alive. Seems like it trades blows with the A2000 while possibly being quiet'er??
Unless the 3050 LP it's thermal or TDP limited compared to the normal 3050's

Very cool! love to see more slot powered lp cards. k'm very interested to see how they fare compared with the A2000 6gb.
Interestingly, these 2 new cards have their fins in different orientations, which means for people with very limited options for airflow in their cases, they can choose the most optimal one.

So weird that everyone and their dog decided to release those 6GB nerfed 3050 LP's

All having the 2304 CUDA cores at 96-bit memory.

Only difference are the base/boost clocks. (also on the Gigabyte one, you can see actual heatpipes, and what looks like a typical heatsink. Whereas the other ones looks like simple extruded aluminium)

I could understand if they all were using the same OEM and just slapping their name on the fans, but atleast the PCB's of the Zotac and KFA are different.

Asus and Gigabyte has no clear pictures of their PCB's

but the ports are also not the same....

Zotac : 1x HDMI; 1x DP
KFA2 : 2x HDMI; 2x DP
Asus : 1x HDMI; 1x DP; 1x DVI-D
Gigabyte : 2x HDMI; 2x DP ( not the same port location as the KFA2 )

Interesting to see so many options. That Zotac looks exactly like the same shroud and heatsink I had on my GTX 1050Ti back in the day... Gigabyte probably offering the best cooling with that heatpipe.

Anyone have an idea how this would compare to an Intel Arc A380? Haven't seen reviews with new drivers for those in ages, and these 6GB 3050 cards should be about 20% slower than a "real" 8GB 3050. Seems like if all you care about is HTPC the Arc A380 makes most sense. For gaming I think this doesn't have the price/perf to justify it over an A2000 or the RTX A2000.

The Gigabyte seems to be a teeny tiny bit more expensive.

well, the 3050 6G scores about 1000 Timespy points less than the A2000 but it probably runs less noisy / cooler and it's cheaper (at least if you want a brand new card with full warranty)



I'm curious how the "all new" RTX (not A) 2000 ADA will perform... probably somewhere between RTX A2000 and RTX 4000 SFF Ada

I also find it interesting. The LP version from ASRock cost about a hundred bucks - that's pretty cool for ANY gpu with 6GB VRAM, let alone a low profile card. And it's tdp is not 75 or 70, merely 45w. It's not going to compete with the 4060 LP in performance, but at 1/3rd of the price, it does not need to.

There still seem to be driver issues, some are very obvious in games like Starfield.

That doesn't mean we have to play Starfield all day, but it's an indication that you just have no clue what to expect in the future.
I think that support for emulators like Yuzu etc is a bit a hit or miss as well?

The ASRock Low Profile Arc A380 only scores 4000 TimeSpy according to ETA Prime's video (probably because of TDP limit). It's definitely better value than the RTX 3050 at current pricing but overall I think it will really struggle in modern games even at low settings. (DLSS truly is a game changer for playing modern games on lower end cards in my experience, much better graphical fidelity than FSR and eSS is only available in very few games)

Other low profile 3050 cards seem to show up.

The cheapest now is available for just under 200 bucks.

At the same time the little rx6400 seems to get more expensive.
Makes little sense......

I don't think the RX6400 makes any sense anymore compared to the ARC A380 and A310. Intel drivers have improved greatly and Arc now just offers better value there. Maybe RX6400 is close to being discontinued.

Which card would be better choice to install in a Dell optiplex 3080 off? 3050 or A2000 or ARC A380? It's an intel system runs on i5 10500

Like any newer Optiplex, that has the PCIe 16x slot in the bottom position... meaning it only supports single slot Low Profile GPUs unless you want to do modifications to the case and the PSU.

To make matters worse it's a PCIe Gen3 board so a Radeon RX6400 will also underperform.
