See this post:The Strix RTX 280 is slightly shorter (299.7mm) than the RTX 270 the post references, which in theory would allow it to fit inside (there's physically about 304mm inside without the front I/O ports), but installing it could be quite difficult or impossible. I'd recommend sticking with cards less than 2.2 slots, or else shorter cards like EVGA's XC series.
