It is without the bracket. Standard height of a card is about 125mm with bracket. The 1060 length is more than likely the reference card length, seeing as how it is 175mm.

I wonder how the 1070 compares in size to the Gigabyte one. The dimensions on their site seem to indicate that the MSI is much larger, but the pictures seem to indicate that they are almost identical in size, but the MSI has a much larger fan. I wonder if this would fit in the Sentry.

Yes, I saw the official dimensions, but I wasn't sure about whether that was height or length. Height is the limiting factor for cases like the Sentry.

In the images below, we see that the MSI appears longer, but about the same height as the gigabyte:

Ahh, silent fan tech plus they look nice. Now I wish I could trade my Zotac 1050 for this XD

My Zotac's fan always spins. No fan spin/silent fan at idle should be the default for all cards of this generation.

Hmm,
That 1070 is a pretty tall card at 144mm, while the Gigabyte 1070 is 131mm (which was already stinking tall). Half an inch taller, wow.

Anyone know how much that PEG connector is recessed below the top?

I am hoping that the 144mm includes the full height of the IO bracket.

The 131mm quoted by Gigabyte does not include the full IO bracket, it is the height of the card from the top of the shroud down to the bottom edge of the PCIe slot:

Does anybody know the standard distance from the bottom of a PCIe slot to the bottom of the IO bracket offset? I've not got anything around me to measure.

The Gigabyte is 146mm tall then which means they could be about the same height, just referring to different measurements in their official specs.

Edit:
@sergiiua has just noticed that MSI have updated their product page to say the card is actually 129mm tall.

I dont see a change. Just checking the msi page for gtx 1070 aero itx 8g oc, and it says in the specifications: 184 x 144 x 40 mm.

Hmmmmm

But it did some checking and I get 13mm and some change for the board to bracket end distance, so hopefully that's the reason, and the card is actually a manageable size, lol.

BTW the Aero 1050/Ti is almost redundant, and just an alternative style of 1050's to choose from MSI. I do prefer the looks of the Aero, though.

Ok, I checked the MSI pages for the 1070 mini std and the OC versions just now and YES the card is not a porker, it is 175 x 129 x 37 mm !!

I just noticed that MSI website has 2 models of 1060 shortys now. The regular (which isn't quite a mini-ITX size) and the new Aero mini-ITX card:

Here are the dims:

MSI GTX 1060 6G OC 188 x 116 x 40 mm (Len x Ht x Thick)

MSI GTX 1060 Aero mini ITX OC 175 x 115 x 38 mm

Haha, it looks like they could have fit that full-size 1070 in that case!

So, going by their measurements, the card itself would fit into the Logic Supply MC600, but you probably wouldn't have room for the power connectors unless you flipped it upside down. I'm not exactly sure how flipping it around would cause the bezel on the MSI card to fit in with everything but I think it might actually make the card fit better. as you could snug a flat surface towards the edge of the case instead of the beveled side.
