Log Most Compact Build for RTX 5070FE

I just recently acquired an RTX 5070FE and would like to make a new build around it. I am really into small itx builds and would be using a 1440p 100Hz display for gaming and some adobe premiere editing. My last build was a few years back in an ncase M1 with an intel 9900k and rtx2080ti so a significant upgrade from that would be appreciated. I don't need too many usb ports and will be using 1 m.2 ssd for storage. So I just want some inputs from people as I plan to have this build for a couple of years.

1. I was looking between a ryzen 7800x3d which I can get for $359 or should I go for the cheaper 9700x for $70 less. I am not into competitive gaming
2. Should I go with a newer X870 motherboard or is a B650 good enough? Any specific itx motherboard you would suggest?
3. Which case would you suggest as I am looking for the smallest I can get at a reasonable price. I was looking at the midori 5L or the s35x or spend more for the sff time u-itx?
4. Are flex PSUs really that noisy that it would be rally annoying without headphones on?

Re: Motherboard - depends on your use case. If you're looking for specific features like USB4, there are only a select few boards that off this, and ALL of them are expensive.

If you only want a solid one, a lot of people recommend the Asrock B650I Lightning, but even the Asrock A620I seems to be regarded highly.

Be aware that if you go for a 9000 series CPU, you might need to update the BIOS in case of a B650 or A620 board.

Small and reasonable price depends quite A LOT on your location. Eg. if you're in Europe, a lot of things might be much cheaper to aquire than say, the US. On the other hand, some cases are next to non-available to Europe, or are so expensive that any other option is cheaper.

If you've got access to eg. Aliexpress at your location, and shipping prices are decent, then thats already a huge bonus.

With the full flow-through design of the FE series, I'd suggest going for a case that allows for a bit of space between the GPU and the rest of the case. Eg. with classic SFF sandwich layouts, at least 2 1/2 slot, better 3 slot width.

Caseend would be a great help to figure out your requirements. It doesnt list ALL cases available, but still quite a few.

Another option would be using the SFF PC Master List, and filter by your preferred requirements. They also try to list the original price of the respective case.
