I know there was a post somewhere in the NFC stuff about undervolting on z370 boards, but I can't seem to find it now.

I just got my new s4 mini build up and running now that my gunique psu has arrived, and I'm trying to bring down temps / up clocks on my 8700k as much as I can. It's delidded and liquid metaled, but I'm not sure how good the application is. It's at least not too much metal, I know that. But it might be too little. Cooling with an l9i.

Currently it hits 90c on prime 95 in less than a minute, but under normal gaming workloads it stays ~55-65c with 80% fan speed, and 38-45c when idle or web browsing. Not terrible, but I'd like to try to do better.

Current settings are 4.7ghz oc (default 100mhz base clock, cpu scaler of 47) with a fixed voltage of 1.245 and a load line setting of 2 on an asrock fatality z370 itx board.
Ram is at 3200mhz 16/16/16/36 at whatever default voltages it has.
Haven't changed anything else.
l9i is mounted with fins parallel to the ram.

On the bright side my gigabyte 1080 mini from the gaming box runs a 1911mhz clock at .9 volts no problem and stays ~60-65c silent under full load. Haven't tried to push the voltage any farther down yet on it, might try to bump up the speed though.
