Cooling Looking for a thin radiator... really thin.

Has anyone bought these? Planning to squeeze some watercooling into my Raijintek Ophion. I'm open to suggestions

From what I've seen in the past, that style of radiator hasn't been great. But its most likely is the thinnest one you'll find.

But if you can fit a few extra mm, I'd get the XSPC TX240 instead.

Well, while looking for information on the mighty internet, I've found this:
Looks like you really can fit a XSPC TX240 with Silverstone FN123 fans, which are 15mm thick(thin). And the PCIe riser still fits through.
So that makes it about 35mm clearance (15+20.4).

So yay for me I can use a proper rad.

I have two of those HJ radiators in my T1.

one bottom mounted with 25mm thick noctua fans, one side mounted with 15mm fans.

They give a ~14c water delta and mid fifty’s component temperatures on a 2080ti and 9900K. Fans at max 1500 / 1850 rpm which is audible but pleasant.

They used to only be available from Taobao. Now they are on aliexpress its alot easier than it used to be.

TX240's are like hens teeth.

Oh i meant the TX's are not easy to get. The HJ's i might consider. If two of them can do mid 50's on a 9900k + 2080ti, i think one could cool a 2700x or a 10700 non K.

edit: to be clear, i dont overclock.

Copper and Aluminium aren't a good mix. Galvanic corrosion is the risk.

Copper or brass all the way through your loop, no aluminium.

I can just buy a alu cpu block.

Question is what would be better:
A copper rad with round tubes,
or a alu rad with flat tubes and a bit thicker.

Pumps are not a concern as most of then have acetal housings/tops.

Typically (although no always) the decent manufacturers make stuff out of copper, with aluminium the cheaper end.

my advice is go copper (even round vs oval tubes).
