I am specifically referring to the fact that the CPU fan rests right beneath the external mesh and sucks in air with nothing blocking it in the way.

This is quite different compared to several other Chinese cases and also the mini-box m350, which has a HDD tray above the CPU instead of beneath it.

Is the Chopin a better design because storage drives are placed beneath the motherboard? Or is the effect on overall temps negligible?

The Chopin dose not have any expansionslots so why not go with a STX System?

STX systems seem to be expensive where I am. I don't really need a graphics card anyway as I don't game very much. So I'm hoping to save some money and go with a Raven Ridge APU.

thats a good idea.... but the PSU wattige is a bit low :(

...you could go with a External/Internal solution like in the Adds on this side
