Noticed some interesting developments coming out from the Retro Computing/Gaming scene.

Firstly, if you are not familar with the MiSTer project, it is using FPGA's to emulate old games consoles, computers, arcade boards and more to a degree of accuracy that traditional software emulation can not match. The Terasic DE10-Nano is the main bit of kit used with a built in Intel (Alteria) Cyclone V SE 5CSEBA6U23I7.

So turns out some of the developers have begun to develop adapter boards that allow the DE10-Nano to be used in ITX/SFF cases.

You have the JAMMIX which is a hybrid between an ITX board and a Jamma Arcade board and the MISTix which is a more conventional ITX board which is designed to complement the Amiga inspired Checkmate cases. There's also more ITX boards in the works, although I reckon if someone did a thin-ITX or STX styled adapter that would be fun. There is this Thin-ITX case from Akasa which would be perfect for it looks like a little SFF games console!

Also as a sidenote, there is also an ITX convertor in the works for the Raspberry Pi, the Over:Board. It has a PCIE slot on it so if you want to put an RTX 3080 for the lol's you can.

Should open up some new options for APU based cases!
