I feel this project had someone with an idea who knew a little bit about engineering, but never actually hired a real engineer who could have told them quickly this was a bad idea. Seems at least a few people on this site could tell pretty quickly it wouldn't work a long time ago.

I'm still amazed it's actually not worse than a reference cooler. I was fearing more heat would be dumped into the heatsink (TEC + CPU) that it would saturate even with a 90W TDP CPU, but it can. It's not in any way better than what's on the market but it still didn't turn into a smoldering heap. I'm glad they didn't get funded on Kickstarter, a lot of people would have been very disappointed.

I had my doubts on how good thermal dissipation will be if the cooler itself requires its own 6-pin PEG connector as a power source. But it still sounds like an interesting alternative to traditional air coolers.

I found results really good...size of noctua u9s with double cooling performance approx...quite nice.

After its price is huge...125€

Where did you get those results?
Having Peltier cooling with that small a heatsink is a no-go for anything but low TDP CPUs and at that point, why even bother?

Yes...I hesitated to take it for my phenom config...however, following several reviews, Hex 2.0 is a little bit better than Noctua U9S (dual fan)..but required additionnal usb connector and pcie 6 pins (150€ minimum)...thus I've chosen Noctua U9s with dual fan (70€)

In conclusion, I join your point of view : Hex 2.0 not worth it...too expensive for too small win
