Other Help with Vandal Switch

Hey guys,

I received my Osmi case, and the 19mm Phobya vandal switch is not working...or i can not get it to work. I am sure it is wired correctly, because it is illuminated, but nothing happens when I press the button in. I am only using the positive/negative contacts from the switch to the P/N contacts on the mobo.


When I use the switch from my old case, the computer turns on not a problem.

If i cross the positive and negative wires from the switch the computer turns on as well, just not when I press the button in.

Any suggestions?

Computer is being powered via the HDPLEX.

Does the switch have 5 terminals on it?

And do you mean the button lights up only when you turn the computer on?

Six terminals.

It lights up all the time...as soon as power source is attatched.

Ended up fixing it. I had the P/N of the LED terminal running to the P/N MB Jumper on the MB. This is *not* correct. The LED terminals should be going to the HDD light jumper instead.

Hmm, most of the pinouts I see only have 5 terminals so I'm not sure which switch you have.

I guess having the LED go to the HDD indicator works, but it should work with them plugged into the Power LED pins. Does the power button work now?
