News Frost Canyon NUCs, 6c/12t i7 and 64GB of Ram Support

It's so shiny!!!!

The engineering sample review on Koolshare: https://koolshare.cn/thread-171007-1-1.html

Intel support documents that confirm it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000055537/intel-nuc.html

I'm so excited! :D

you missed pcie 4 ssds and a smidge of usb-pd on the front port! this looks like a pretty epic nuc.
(zen 3 nuc pls? :) )
It's not PCIe 4, it's PCIe x4 Gen 3. You misread. This is just another 14nm chip. Intel's generation marking makes it hard but astute readers will immediately catch the DisplayPort 1.2 and know Ice Lake supports 1.4. Mind you: not even Ice Lake supports PCIe 4.

Also it's not SSDs just one SSD.

The six core will be loud AF. No way around it -- they increase the AC brick by 33% without changing the cooling or anything, well, what do you think will happen when the same cooler needs to dissipate that much more heat?

You could simplify it thusly: everything Intel releases these days is shit. This thing has one advantage over previous generations and that's the front USB C having PD. Yay?

They've always been loud, and that's a whatever for me, as all I care about is the potential of the board. There are other cooling solutions. :)
