Hi everyone,
Is there any idea about The Detachable Chassis which contain 2 blocks like in the figure.
.
the idea is that we can left the graphic card at home and go to work with just only your PC. The price for the riser is much less than the eGPU which are selling now
What do you guys think about it?

I would recommend making a small platform for the gpu to make sure that the gpu isn't overheating due to poor airflow.

You could also turn the whole case 90° so the gpu is on the top (like an open air testbench) and having some kind of support for the gpu.

great idea for a GPU plinth, but as a "thunderbolt-style" dock...
Yes, but thunderbolt dock is too expensive, the bandwidth is also lower than PCI-E. Another point is that sometime we don't need extra power for GPU due to its low consuption (like 1050Ti)

If this is for small portable system I would consider this instead:
A thin ITX case with support for a LP53 cooler with the PCI-e slot left open to the outside (case dimensions down toward 17,5 x 17,5 x 7 cm (or less with a 14mm thick fan)).
Then a Pico PSU with either a small HDplex PSU inside or external power bank.
And then a larger external 12V PSU (or some made up SFX, ATX or HDplex + Dynamo) at home for the GFX with some sort of 5V sensor port on PC to connect to external power supply.

That leaves plenty of air (like a bench table) for the GFX and you don't have to buy a riser :-)

If you can survive with 400W you can create a small case with all PSU parts inside with a HDplex 400 AC-DC and 400W DC-DC
