Awesome compilation, well done !

ROG G31 Edition 10 - 20L case with 2x GTX 1080's - can we classify this as SFF?
Not with a "powerbrick" the size of a true SFF PC:

Zotac's Magnus SFF PC: http://www.anandtech.com/show/10364/zotac-magnus-en980-sff-vr-pc-with-geforce-gtx-980

5.8L PC featuring a GTX 980, needs two (!) power bricks.

That is the stupidest, best looking power brick I've ever seen.

Good to know what that looks like. Seems a bit strange to go with watercooling for a layout like this. Two room-filling heatsinks and a huge fan above that seems like it would've given more surface area.

That's most likely the reason, because watercooling seems to be perceived as Magic©. In this instance, it's obvious it was a bad choice, further enhanced by the two 180W powerbricks.

You got it all wrong. Watercooling + LED's = Magic. Watercooling by itself is witchcraft.

Woot woot! Noctua is there with a bunch of small fan prototypes: https://www.techpowerup.com/live/images/Computex_2016/noctua_011.jpg

And the slim 120mm looks like it's getting close to production: https://www.techpowerup.com/live/images/Computex_2016/noctua_024.jpg

And they have a heatsink to go with it: https://www.techpowerup.com/live/images/Computex_2016/noctua_011.jpg

I almost feel sad for them caving in and offering non brown and beige options: https://www.techpowerup.com/live/images/Computex_2016/noctua_018.jpg

I'm slightly disappointed Noctua never released the 65mm tall, dual-fan 2U server-style cooler they showed a couple years ago. Admittedly limited in its usefulness, for certain case designs it would've been ideal. The slim 120mm fan is nice, I guess.

Also disappointed that Seasonic is showing the same old 350W TFX they've had for years. I guess they just want to remind people that it exists.

I feel these external video card boxes might be more interesting with MXM modules. They'd certainly be alot smaller. I realize they all want to show off the ability to cram a 1080 or Titan X in there, but putting a ITX 970 or Nano would be cool too if it's 1/3 the size. And makes more sense since these are for PORTABLE PC'S & LAPTOPS

:(

Yeah that would be interesting, too. But I disagree that it would necessarily make more sense. These are meant to be stationary docking stations for your laptop. It's not like they are made to be taken with you when you travel. For that a fully integrated solution can be made much smaller.

I don't understand how the Zotac's Magnus SFF PC, which will require two power bricks...can cool both a 980 + i5 with a SINGLE RADIATOR AND FAN.

Raijintek and Thermaltake have SFX power supplies coming now too. Seems SFX has gone mainstream - hopefully more SFX chassis coming soon.

The Silverstone AIOs with the pump integrated into the middle of the radiator are pretty neat. It's something I've thought of before, but wasn't sure if it was feasible. Good way to avoid Asetek's patent. Now we just need an expandable version.
