Planning to place order for remaining parts for my personal build and have a few questions.
Need to choose Case, CPU and cooling. I got great experience with Sliger (here) and will likely go with one of their cases. So far my plan is to go with reasonable powerful build (so no 5950x/3090). Will overclock it ofc. I will also add 10g NIC on ADT riser, but it seems that it will fit in either case: Nic is super small (Mellanox cx311).
So far I have ASUS B550-i, 32gigs of ram, videocards and some fans. Need to decide between S610/S620, SV590 and cooling method. (280 aio vs air in S610/S620).
I got Gigabyte 3070 Gaming OC and 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Might deshroud it as well (seems like 3070 is better suited for that).
I'm not so sure why 3080 FTW show dimensions different from official site and marked as "Doesn't fit in S610", but still. It shows height as 137mm in specs, but here in the diagram is shows 124mm: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=10G-P5-3897-KR if it's 137 that rules smaller S610 obviously.
1. Would you go for smaller (S610) case instead of S620 just for smaller size? This will likely mean 280mm AIO (EKWB D-RGB 280) as well.
2. Would you go for air (D15/s) or AIO (Again D-RGB 280) in case that can fit both? (S620).
3. Considering SV540/590v2, which obviously means AIO (240/360) for CPU. I'm perfectly fine with no USB ports on the front and I quite like smaller footprint. I'm worried about case being AIO-only and going with PCIe risers.
4. What is a better option in S620: D15 or D15s? It seems that case fits both and I don't have any clearance issues with ASUS mobo. Can you install any slim fans with D15 or D15s inverted? I'm leaning towards D15, and re-using supplied fan as side-exhaust.
5. What AMD to get? Seems like most people going with 5600x as entry model and 5800x is considered one of the hottest chips out there. Some even advise going 5900x instead. How hard to cool 5800x or I should start small?
