Hi there,

I am having a hard time booting from a NVME drive using a G3258 on an Asus Q87T/CSM board, using a Delock riser.

I can install Windows juste fine but then I cannot get Windows to boot.
I get the following error message :

I've tried all possible options under the CSM options tab.

Bios has been updated to the latest version :

Any ideas ?

@GuilleAcoustic ?

Custom BIOS is the correct answer - Only a few motherboards supported booting from this, the rest only attached in Windows.

There were folks adding PCIe boot to boards which didn't have it baked into the UEFI - Some Asrock boards did get it, the rest were aftermarket (if at all).

OK thanks a lot for your confirmation.

SATA it is then.
The goal here is to just to have a M.2 SSD. It does not really matter whether it is SATA or NVME.
