News BIOSTAR prototypes itx board with sidemounted PCI-E slot.

It was an interview, where BIOSTAR reps talked about a lot of stuff, and this image was shown, by them.
Make your own conclusions.... hope it go past prototype....

DUal 6p power plugs near the pci-E slot.... weird...

For dual 6 pin, that's big upgrade over a thin mini ITX in its power support. The connector looks big enough to take those big 300W power bricks. Normally, thin ITX can only do up to 150W.

Tnx for the enlightment. Never heard the PIO term before... So, mostly restricted to Chinese AIO rigs. Of course such a niche product would be hard to come by... Bad for us...

To be clear though, this board isn't the same size as the PIO boards, and wouldn't be compatible with any PIO cases because the PCIe slot is off by a few millimeters.

My guess is that the 4 pin DIN inlet is made to work with the same FSP 270W AC-DC adapter as the Micro STX platform (I am not aware of a comparable OEM brick on the market). If that is the case then this would likely be a 12-19V input or per 19V input motherboard.
