I'm going to assume that was directed at ASUS and not us!
A lot of these systems are built to order for suppliers and stockists and thus listing every CPU they can be optioned with can be cumbersome in a show setting. We can only publish what info we have been given, which in this case is the spec sheets we have photographed.
sure, but if they AT THE VERY LEAST mentioned if they are planning Y, U, H or low voltage desktop range it would be still slightly more informative
Unfortunately for this year, they didn't give us much. Our sole contact at ASUS last year was Raja Gill and he is no longer working tradeshows. We had to drop the name of another rep (that never replied to our emails... grr) just to get into the suite -thankfully that always works at CES 
At times it can be a fend-for-yourself experience and at ASUS, we didn't get much attention -unlike the 3 hours of time Raja gave to us in 2017. There were two suites this year and several members of the ASUS staff on-hand, however... they had two busloads of foreign press they are preoccupied with entertaining, escorting, and informing. We just happened to be their at the wrong time.
All I could do was walk around in search of SFF-related content and snap away.
The good news is, the one non-SFF related product I really cared to see was there (see below).
I really disliked the LFF G-Sync display (it seemed to ghost pretty badly)... but this one, whew, this one pleased me quite a bit (on paper at least). I want it and I suspect @loader963 does as well).
That's a typo by the way -that's GSYNC 2.
At the very least I was able to confirm that it's a VA panel so it might very well share the same blurry text issue that the Samsung VA panels have but I was unable to confirm it as the monitor had died (monitor or power-brick -something was preventing it from turning on for live demos)

A good indication is looking at previous iterations of the products. For example, the Chromebox will take a U processor, as will the UN68U mini-PC. The PN40 will take a socketed processor, likely a 65W one.
Btw, nice to see a new chromebox coming out, finally. It was in dire need of an upgrade.
